Orientation 2012
Orientation 2012 this year saw the welcoming of almost 50 new Fresher’s to the Warwick family. Held at Changi Beach, seniors led orientation groups through a myriad of game stations, braving water bombs, flour, soap, eggs, and even raw chicken!
The day opened with easier icebreaking games, and the intensity increased with the sun’s heat that day. Freshers were soon thrown into a myriad of station games, including Minesweeper, Blind Bat, Broken Telephone (where every team and their OGLs cheated), the ever messy Sock Wars, and Running Man! The soon-to-be Warwick arrivals were put to the test alongside their OGLs, to endure the gauntlet of icebreaking games and wet and dirty tasks. Enduring the hot sun, dirt, soap, flour and other baking ingredients, the Freshers had quite the welcome to the Warwick family.

The night games saw representatives from each Orientation Group strut their stuff and showcase their talents. Tasks they were made to do included showcasing the best or worst pickup lines they had ever heard, dance, or showcase their talent in acting or in standup comedy.

With the kind of talent we’re taking in this year, looks like there’s no shortage of talent for next year’s production. The representatives were competing for the chance to represent Warwick at the annual UKBound event at Zouk, taking place in mid September. The final event in summer before departure, it was a chance for schools to showcase the beauty and talent they had. The contestants were sporting, and the energy was high. At the end of it, our judges decided, and crowned Navin Raj Jaidev, and Anisha Primalani as our Mr. and Ms. Warwick!
